Amazing Spider-Man. New trailer.

Sweet jesus! This looks amazing (pun!).

Everything from how Garfield portrays Peter/ Spidey, to how Captain Stacy spits the words “Spider-Man”. The Lizard also looks a lot cooler in action than in stills!

Totally psyched for almost every film this year >_<

I’m not hugely impressed by the trailer itself, trying to hit the generic moody melodrama notes, but what impresses me is Andrew Garfield, who seems far better suited to the role, even in these short snippets, than Dopey Maguire was in the entirety of three movies. 

They’ve managed to focus in on the things that are different from the last origin movie (webslingers! Peter’s a scientific genius!) rather than showing the same things that appeared previously, but that’s kinda what I’m curious about. How much of the basics of the origin story and Peter’s established relationships (Uncle Ben, Aunt May etc) and Peter’s personality play out. It was nice to see some actual quipping and hopefully this time round, that’s the norm rather than the exception.
